वेलनेस केंद्र: बुज़ुर्गों का इलाज अब घर के पासWellness Centre: treatment for elders, now near home
घुटनों के दर्द के लिए हफ़्ते में तीन बार शहर पार जाना — रिक्शा, इंतज़ार, फ़ीस — यह हमारे वार्ड के कई बुज़ुर्गों की दिनचर्या थी। फिज़ियोथेरेपी इलाज है, पर आना-जाना ख़ुद एक बीमारी बन गया था।Crossing the city three times a week for knee pain — the rickshaw, the waiting, the fees — was routine for many of our ward's elders. Physiotherapy is treatment, but the commute had become an illness of its own.

जोड़ों और कमर के दर्द की फिज़ियोथेरेपी, खेल की चोटों की रिकवरी, ऑपरेशन के बाद का पुनर्वास, और बुज़ुर्गों के लिए संतुलन-व्यायाम। सामुदायिक केंद्र के खेल-मैदानों के साथ मिलकर यह वार्ड की सेहत का पूरा चक्र बनाता है — खेलिए, और चोट लगे तो पास में ही इलाज।Physiotherapy for joint and back pain, sports-injury recovery, post-operative rehabilitation, and balance exercises for elders. Together with the community centre's sports grounds it completes the ward's circle of health — play, and if you get hurt, treatment is close by.
क्यों ज़रूरी थाWhy it mattered
इलाज की सुविधा वही अच्छी है, जो पहुँच में हो। निजी सेंटरों की फ़ीस जहाँ सैकड़ों में प्रति-सत्र है, वहाँ यह केंद्र नाममात्र शुल्क पर वही सेवा देता है। सेहत पैसे से नहीं, पहुँच से शुरू होती है।A health facility is only as good as its reach. Where private centres charge hundreds per session, this centre gives the same service at a nominal charge. Health begins with access, not money.
